An article from CNN takes a very long time to tell us what we already know:
Hillary Clinton is trying to win this election on name recognition alone.
This fact may come as a surprise to some, who believe that Hillary Clinton truly represents change. That somehow, things will be vastly different if Hillary gets into office. That she has failed at bringing Universal Healthcare for the past 15 years, but that somehow she’ll make it work this time. That somehow, she is the right person to pick up the red phone. But it turns out that she has focused her entire campaign on these main principles:
- People who can’t speak English vote for me
- People who are poor and don’t have time to learn about new and incredible candidates like Barack Obama vote for me
- People who are old and dislike change vote for me
- People who want to try to get cabinet positions back me
- Ohio and Texas represent the country, all the other states do not
All I can say is this: If Hillary Clinton wishes to count her 8 years as a President’s wife in her resume, that makes her an incumbent. You can’t expect change out of an incumbent. My brother was born in 1989. If Hillary Clinton wins the election, the progression of Presidents as far as he knows will be Bush - Clinton - Bush - Clinton. What’s next, Jeb? Change starts when we realize that the Bush/Clinton dynasty must end, and that in a nation of over 300 million people, America has more to offer than these two politically entrenched families.
